The median pay for dietetic technicians in the U.S. was $37,640 a year ($18.09 an hour) in May 2025, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The middle half earned between $33,880 and $45,750.
The highest pay was in Oregon ($54,670), New York ($50,420), Colorado ($47,810), Minnesota ($47,610), Washington ($47,000). The lowest was in Mississippi ($28,690), Louisiana ($28,860), Kentucky ($28,970).
About 31,560 people were employed as dietetic technicians in May 2025.
