The median pay for therapists, all other in the U.S. was $77,930 a year ($37.47 an hour) in May 2025, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The middle half earned between $58,850 and $105,760.
The highest pay was in Illinois ($116,200), New Jersey ($100,250), Hawaii ($99,560), Washington ($98,550), South Carolina ($90,980). The lowest was in Nevada ($38,260), Mississippi ($44,280), Connecticut ($47,300).
About 22,640 people were employed as therapists, all other in May 2025.
