The highest pay was in Arizona ($111,170), Colorado ($107,440), Nevada ($100,820), New Jersey ($90,710), South Carolina ($85,580). The lowest was in Oklahoma ($40,160), Alabama ($41,710), Utah ($44,990).
About 22,270 people were employed as surgical assistants in May 2025.
